Matt Smith Labor Candidate for Leichhardt Matt Smith is a former Cairns Taipan and a long-term Cairns local who is running to be your Federal Representative to provide a strong economic future for Far North Queensland.Basketball brought Matt Smith to Cairns two decades ago, playing for the Taipans for five years before he finished his NBL career in 2009.
