The Cairns Maritime Jobs and Careers expo was buzzing on the 29th August with the marine sector and its enthusiastic employees sharing hands-on experience.

Advance Cairns members Ports North, JCU: James Cook University, Australia, TAFE Queensland, Tropical Reef Shipyards, Austal and Sea Swift were among many representing the marine industries giving practical advice on varied career pathways.
Panel participants for Women in Maritime, Advanced Manufacturing & Shipyards, and Maritime Pathways for Career Changes gave impelling stories of opportunity for this growth sector.
A tour bus took participants around the area with a stop at TAFE Qld’s Maritime College and the Full Mission Bridge Simulator!
