An exciting new chapter has begun in education with the ceremonial turning of the sod on CQUniversity’s new Cairns CBD campus.
This Advance Cairns priority project will rise from a vacant block at the corner of Grafton and Hartley streets to offer skills for the jobs of today and tomorrow, bring new life to our city heart and help drive our economy.
Along with JCU’s new training centre in the Cairns Hospital Health and Innovation Precinct and Queensland TAFE, Cairns and the Far North is flexing its education muscle – and we couldn’t be prouder.
Congratulations and thank you to Matt Smith MP, Federal Education Minister Jason Clare, Mayor Amy Eden and Cairns Regional Council and Vice-Chancellor Nick Klomp and Associate Vice President of Far North Region Kate Harvey for making this project a reality.
